Privacy policy

The full privacy policy is being finalised with our lawyer and will be published on this page before URent opens to everyone. Until then, this is how the app handles your data.

• Your account holds your phone number, name, photo and language. We use them to run your account and to send you booking and payment updates.
• Identity checks are done by our verification partner, Didit. Your ID and selfie images stay with Didit; URent keeps the result and the details your rental agreement needs.
• Card payments happen on BML Connect's own page. URent never sees your card number.
• An owner's live location is shared with the renter only while the owner is delivering the vehicle, and it is never stored.
• Rental agreements, handover photos and wallet records are kept for 7 years as evidence. Chat is kept for 2 years, or 7 if a claim is opened.
• Crash reports and usage analytics carry no personal details.
• You can ask to delete your account from your profile in the app. Records the law requires us to keep are anonymised.
