Terms of service

The full Terms of service are being finalised with our lawyer and will be published on this page before URent opens to everyone. Until then, these rules already apply in the app.

• URent is a marketplace. Each rental is between the vehicle's owner and the renter; URent runs the wallet, the identity checks, the rental agreement and support.
• URent is for members only. You must be 18 or older and verify your Maldivian ID card and Maldives driving licence before you book, message an owner or list a vehicle.
• All rental money moves through your URent wallet: no cash and no deposits. Owners keep their whole listed price, and renters pay the URent service fee shown before they confirm (see Fees).
• Every rental has an agreement both sides sign in the app, and photos taken at handover and at return.
• Cancellations, no-shows and late returns follow the cancellation policy.
• Withdrawals go to a bank account in your own verified name within 2 business days.
